What is industrial diving?
Industrial diving (also known as commercial diving) is the profession of specialist divers who perform professional work and services underwater. An industrial diver is involved in a wide range of tasks, from underwater construction and ship repair to pipeline laying and search and rescue operations.
Unlike recreational diving, industrial diving is a profession that requires technical knowledge, physical endurance, and the use of specialized equipment. In Turkey, this profession is regulated under the Professional Underwater Divers Regulation of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and is supervised by Port Authorities and the Coast Guard.

Officially Approved Accredited Training
Our courses are approved by the Ministry of National Education. Every student who successfully completes the course receives an official Ministry of National Education Course Completion Certificate and a Vocational Diving Record Book.

Thanks to Kaş's mild Mediterranean climate, our courses run uninterrupted for most of the year. The water temperature is around 25-28°C in the summer months and 16-20°C in the winter months.

The scuba diving course is designed for individuals who want to take their first steps into industrial diving. This course, which provides the competence to dive with open-circuit SCUBA equipment, includes both theoretical and intensive practical training.

The Scuba Diver Gas Mixture Course is a more comprehensive training program covering dives with mixed gases to depths of up to 90 meters using SCUBA equipment. This certification provides access to job opportunities in deeper waters.

Maximum Depth: 90 meters with surface-supplied diving gear and mixed gas.
The First Class Diver course is a more comprehensive training program covering dives with mixed gases to depths of up to 90 meters using surface-supplied diving gear. This certification provides access to job opportunities in deeper waters.
You must hold a professional scuba diving certificate to participate in this course.
If you do not have the necessary documentation, you will need to obtain at least a scuba diving certificate.
This course, certified by TUV Austria, lasts two weeks.
You can take the exam with the certificate you receive at the end of the course.
Those who pass the exam will receive their certificates from TUV Austria.

ABOUT US
300 Bar Diving Center was founded in Izmir in 2009 by Engin Kondul with the vision of understanding, experiencing, and sharing the passion for the underwater world. Beginning with recreational diving training in Ayvalık, its journey evolved in 2012 with the approval of the Ministry of National Education into industrial diving training, and comprehensive courses ranging from beginner to instructor level in TSSF/CMAS and SSI systems. In 2018, 300 Bar expanded to Kaş with the “Sirena Diving” boat, and in 2025, it moved all its operations to Kaş, becoming a strong center for both recreational and professional diving training. Today, with years of experience and the accumulated knowledge of thousands of dives, it continues to offer diving as a way of life and a professional career.

Obtaining an industrial diver certification requires a specific process. This process is transparent and formal:

Course Registration
Register for 300 Bar's Ministry of National Education-approved industrial diving course. Submit your required documents and begin your training.

Theoretical and Practical Training
Complete the training program and receive intensive practical diving training in the Mediterranean waters of Kaş.

Ministry of National Education Course Completion Certificate
Students who successfully complete the course are awarded a Ministry of National Education Course Completion Certificate and a Vocational Diving Record Book.

Completing Dive Hours
For a certificate of competency application, the training dives must be approved and recorded in the Professional Diving Logbook.

Port Authority Exam
Applications are submitted to the relevant Port Authority. The exam consists of theoretical and practical sections.

Industrial diving is a profession with high earning potential and increasing demand in Türkiye and worldwide. With the rise of underwater construction and maintenance projects, the need for qualified industrial divers is growing every year.
The monthly earnings of industrial divers vary significantly depending on the nature of the work and the working area. In Turkey, the monthly earnings of an experienced industrial diver start at $3,000 USD and can increase two to three times that amount depending on their expertise and experience. These figures can reach much higher levels in overseas projects.

Opportunities Abroad
Turkish industrial divers who obtain their certification can find employment in Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Algeria, and many other countries. For those wishing to work internationally, there are also opportunities to transition to IMCA-approved international certification programs.
Documents obtained from Türkiye are not IMCA-approved, therefore you cannot work in IMCA-approved jobs. You can work in any job that does not require IMCA approval.

To apply for an industrial diving course, the following conditions specified in the Professional Underwater Divers Regulations must be met:
Mandatory Requirements:
Being a Turkish citizen and having at least a primary school diploma are among the basic requirements. Candidates must document their suitability for underwater diving with a report from an authorized health institution that has a pressure chamber and an underwater physician. Regarding age, candidates must be at least 18 years old, and for those newly entering the profession, they must not have reached the age of 40.

Zorunlu Şartlar:
Türk vatandaşı olmak, en az ilkokul veya ilköğretim okulu mezunu olmak, temel koşullar arasındadır. Adayların sağlık açısından sualtıadamlığına elverişli olduğunu, bünyesinde basınç odası ve sualtı hekimi bulunan yetkili bir sağlık kuruluşundan alınacak raporla belgelendirmesi gerekmektedir. Yaş sınırı açısından ise 18 yaşını tamamlamış olmak ve mesleğe yeni başlayacaklar için 40 yaşından gün almamış olmak şartı aranmaktadır.
